How to Play
MLW Draft is a quick draft-and-play game built on real Major League Wiffleball stats. Spin to draw players, build a 6-person team, then run a bracket. Win it all and your roster joins your collection.
1 · Draft your roster
- Hit 🎰 Spin. The slot machine lands on a random team-season — a real team in a real year.
- Every player on that team appears as a card. Pick exactly one and assign them to an open slot.
- Your roster has 6 slots: 2 Pitchers (a starter + a backup), 2 Outfield, and 2 Extra Hitter. Any player can fill any slot.
- You can't re-spin until you draft from the team you drew — so choose from what you're dealt. (If a team's players are all taken, it auto-re-spins.)
- You can't draft the same person twice, even from a different season.
- Fill all 6 slots, then hit Start Series.
2 · Reading a card
- BAT / PIT — 1–5 stars (★★★★★) from a player's real batting & pitching numbers. A — means they didn't bat or pitch that year.
- DEF — fielding, either Normal or High.
- A ✓ in the top-right means you already own that exact card.
- A * after the year (e.g. '26*) means the season is still in progress, so its stats are incomplete.
✨ Shinies
Every so often a card comes up shiny — a rare, gleaming gold version of a player. Shinies get +1 batting and +1 pitching star (defense is unchanged) and carry a little slogan.
They're lucky one-off draws: the same player might be shiny on one spin and normal the next. A shiny you collect is kept as a separate card from the normal version.
3 · Play the series
- Your Team enters a 4-team single-elimination bracket: you plus 3 random MLW teams (playing their real rosters).
- Each match is a weighted coin toss — stronger rosters are favored, but upsets happen.
- The percentages shown are each team's chance of winning that match (they add to 100%). The underdog can — and sometimes will — win.
- Two semifinals → a final → a champion.
4 · Build your collection
- Win the whole series and all 6 of your players are added to your Collection.
- It's build-once, play-once per draft. To go again, hit Reset Draft for a fresh team and bracket.
- Your collection is saved on this device only, right in your browser — no account needed. It survives across visits, but a different browser, device, or private window starts empty.
